IONIX is a global cybersecurity company providing an external exposure management platform that discovers, prioritizes and validates real-world exploitability across an organization's external attack surface.
The external exposure management category is moving fast, growing more crowded and competitive by the month, with many players relying on similar technical, feature-first messaging. Positioning itself at the forefront of this shift, IONIX has the opportunity to establish a strong, confident brand that communicates innovation and trust while standing apart in a landscape where most competitors still sound the same.
The purpose of this process is to refine the brand's positioning and messaging framework (recently updated), and translate it into a distinctive visual identity, relying on its existing logo and brand colors, and carried through to a redesigned website.

A joint working session with IONIX's core team to review the company's vision, strategy, goals and key challenges, and to align on the objectives, timeline and milestones of the branding process.
In-depth 1:1 interviews with key stakeholders, to build a clear, outside-in picture of the company and the brand:
A focused analysis of positioning, messaging and visual language across IONIX's direct competitors in external exposure management and attack surface management, as well as relevant benchmarks from adjacent B2B security and technology brands. This helps identify where IONIX can own a distinctive space rather than blend into the category's shared conventions.
A working session developed by OPEN to drive the creation of the brand's strategy. Given the team's dispersed locations, this will be conducted as two focused video sessions rather than one full-day in-person workshop. During these sessions we will collaboratively tackle key brand strategy questions, that might include:
The agenda will be tailored to and finalized based on IONIX's primary challenges, as identified during the interviews and category review.
To close out this phase, OPEN will present and discuss IONIX's brand foundations, including:
This can be used internally as soon as it is approved, without waiting for the creative identity or website work to be completed. Once this phase is approved, work on the website's UX and information architecture begins in parallel with the creative concept phase below, rather than waiting for it to be complete.
Analyzing the visual language of IONIX's competitors and of leading B2B security and technology brands, in local and global markets, to define a distinctive direction rather than the dark, technical visual conventions shared across most of the external exposure management category.
At the conclusion of the research stage, a session with IONIX's team to share findings and align on the directions worth developing further, before moving into concept development.
Translating the brand strategy into a central creative idea and a distinct visual and verbal language, built around IONIX's existing logo and color palette. This proposal does not include a change to the logo or brand colors; if a clear strategic case for a change emerges during the process, it will be raised separately for discussion rather than assumed.
Exploring how each direction performs across real touchpoints, including digital, product and event applications, to confirm it works across IONIX's full ecosystem, not only on a homepage mockup.
OPEN will present a deck with two creative concepts, each demonstrated across key brand touchpoints. After the presentation, one direction will be selected for further development. Each concept will include:
All mockups are for demonstration purposes only. If neither direction aligns with IONIX's vision, OPEN will provide one additional concept. An optional exit point is available following the creative presentation, prior to revisions (see General Notes).
Once IONIX selects one direction, OPEN will spend two weeks refining and extending it, addressing feedback from the creative presentation and expanding the chosen concept across the touchpoints not yet covered, before moving into brandbook production.
An AI-based brand platform that centralizes all brand assets and usage guidelines within one structured, accessible digital environment. The platform enables seamless updates while maintaining version control and ensuring that all materials remain current.
It will include the full brand framework, logo usage rules, color and typography specifications, imagery guidelines, and application standards across digital, print and physical environments. The platform will also provide downloadable source files for all approved brand assets, including logo variations, grids, imagery and related materials.

The scope below is based on IONIX's website as it exists today, covering its four most central pages, each scoped for up to the number of sections noted:
This scope reflects our current characterization of the website; see (04) Timeline & Pricing for how the estimate will be confirmed and adjusted as the project progresses. Additional sections within these four templates, beyond those noted above, are added as additional hours at the rate in General Notes. A page beyond these four templates is treated as new scope and quoted separately.
The UX and UI hours in (04) Timeline & Pricing are built up from this page-by-page estimate:
| Page | Sections | UX hours | UI hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Homepage | 10 | 14h | 28h |
| Why IONIX | 7 | 10h | 20h |
| Live Exposure Defense | 7 | 10h | 20h |
| Attack Surface Discovery | 8 | 11h | 22h |
| Shared component system & information architecture | – | 3h | 7h |
| Total | 32 | 48h | 97h |
QA and launch support adds a further 30 hours after development — see (04) Timeline & Pricing for the full total.
Development of the website is not included in this proposal. OPEN delivers the design and a structured developer handoff package; building and deploying the live site is carried out separately, by IONIX's in-house development team or an external development partner.
OPEN will design and build these four page templates and the shared component library in full. From there, IONIX's in-house team can extend the same design language and components across the rest of the site independently; migrating additional pages onto this system is a separate scope, to be defined once these templates are live and proven.
Alignment with IONIX's team on the website's business goals, key user journeys and success metrics, together with a review of competitor and best-in-class security and technology websites to define structure, navigation and interaction standards for these page templates.
Two homepage directions, showing different approaches to structure, navigation and content hierarchy, plus a full sitemap that reflects where these page templates sit within IONIX's much larger site architecture.
Wireframes for the page templates above, plus the reusable component patterns (page sections, navigation, forms) that can be reused across the rest of the site.
Includes up to 2 rounds of feedback and revisions on the UX deliverables; additional rounds are billed at $170/hour.
Once the UX is approved and copy is finalized, OPEN will design the pages for desktop and mobile. The homepage will establish the core visual direction, with all pages, and the component library behind them, following one consistent design system built to extend across the rest of the site.
Mobile adaptation includes responsive layouts, streamlined navigation, and adjustments for touch interactions and simplified forms.
This scope does not include custom illustration, animation or video production for the website; placeholder assets may be used where needed, with final materials added once available.
Includes up to 2 rounds of feedback and revisions on the UI designs; additional rounds are billed at $170/hour.
A unified component library (buttons, forms, navigation), micro-interaction guidelines, finalized typography, color and grid specifications, organized Figma files for a clean handoff, and a developer briefing session.
QA and launch support for the delivered pages, up to 30 hours after development.
| Phase | Estimated time | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| (01) Strategic Discovery & Brand Foundations | 5–7 weeks | $49,300 |
| (02)–(03) Creative Concept Development, Presentation & Refinement | 5–7 weeks | $71,300 |
| (04) Brandbook | ~4 weeks (in parallel with website UI design) | $27,400 |
| Total (excluding VAT) | ~14–18 weeks | $148,000 |
| Phase | Estimated effort | Estimated duration | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| UX | 48 hours | 4–5 weeks | $8,160 |
| UI | 97 hours | 2–3 weeks | $16,490 |
| Dev Handoff, Support & QA | 30 hours | up to 2 weeks, post-launch | $5,100 |
| Total (excluding VAT) | 175 hours | $29,750 |
This is an hour-based estimate, built from the page-by-page breakdown in (03) Scope & Assumptions, not a fixed fee. At the conclusion of the UX phase, once the sitemap and page sections are finalized and approved by IONIX, OPEN will confirm whether the remaining UI and QA hours are on track or need adjusting before UI design begins. During execution, if actual hours in any phase are trending beyond the estimate, OPEN will notify IONIX before the limit is reached; additional hours are billed at $170/hour (see General Notes) and proceed only with IONIX's written approval.
All prices exclude VAT.
